S.C. Citizens for Life endorses Haley for Governor
Sheheen backs ObamaCare, which funds abortion with tax dollars
COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina Citizens for Life LIFEPAC, the state’s leading pro-life organization, has endorsed State Rep. Nikki Haley for governor — an endorsement that, according to the organization, reflects Haley’s “commitment to renewing a culture of life.”
LIFEPAC chairman Joe Rumler announced the endorsement in a letter to State Rep. Haley and praised her pro-life record as a member of the State House of Representatives. “As Governor, your support will be needed to reverse the pro-abortion and rationing effects of the Obama health care legislation,” continued Rumler.
State Rep. Haley said, “I’m honored to receive the Citizens for Life endorsement. Every life is precious, has a value and is blessed by God. I see it every day in my two children as I watch them grow. When I’m governor, I’ll continue my fight to protect life and stop government funding of abortion.”
According to pro-life leader and State Sen. Kevin Bryant, there is “no evidence that [Vince Sheheen] actively fights for unborn children.”
Vince Sheheen has said he “supports much of” ObamaCare, a massive government health care takeover that provides for taxpayer-funded abortion.
According to the Heritage Foundation, “the long truce over public funding of abortion is now officially broken” with the passage of ObamaCare and, according to a member of congress, taxpayer funding for abortion is a “‘game-time decision’ for bureaucrats” to make.
