Friends,

Watching and reading the news the last few months have shown us all one thing: in trying to be all things to all people, government has lost its way.

Whether it be wrongly injecting itself into the banking or auto industries, treating taxpayer dollars like Monopoly money or trying to change the way we interact with our doctors, government has forgotten its role is to work for the people – not the other way around.

It’s a problem on both the state level and the federal level, and it’s one that won’t go away until we remind elected officials who they really work for.

Here’s a glimpse of how I intend to do just that:

Together we can change South Carolina – and start to change this country, one state at a time.
